Tittle Tattle, Tattletale
“I don’t say anything. I forget. We forget.” - Jackie
Jackie and Ian have an agreement, but Ian can’t remember. Ruth and Edie have a holiday booked, but Edie has her suspicions. Ian and Ruth have never got along, but Ruth sees an opportunity to start again. Sometimes not being able to find the words isn’t such a bad thing.
[A BIT] ABOUT …
Tittle Tattle, Tattletale came about when the members of the 2010 Writers’ Group at Live Theatre were invited to submit a short play for consideration for the Different Stages Festival – a celebration of the best of British new writing.
Four of the scripts were presented as rehearsed readings as part of the Festival, March 2010.
The cast was as follows:
JACKIE: Phillippa Wilson
IAN: Chris Connell
RUTH: Tracy Whitwell
EDIE: Karen Traynor
Directed by Tess Denman-Cleaver
With the positive feedback from the reading, I am currently looking at Tattletale’s potential for development in to a longer piece. [Watch this space ...!]
The other plays on the night’s bill were:
Not The Full Jar by Paul Buie
Peter Creme’s Eyes by Tracy Whitwell
M&S, S&M by Lee Mattinson
